Remind me. What is this again?
If you are on the move in the mountains while having no or barely any connectivity, then this app is for you! Basically it will warn you of sudden air pressure changes while being independent of altitude changes.\n\nWhat is so special about this? Normally air pressure will change with elevation! So the app will use GPS altitude data to account for this by calculating a normalized air pressure value. It then watches the tendency of that pressure value over the previous 3 hours and warn on demand.\n\nWhat does a sudden air pressure change indicate? Without going into details, it can indicate a change in weather to be expected.

Background location
The app needs to access your location in the background to determine the current altitude and speed. This is necessary to calculate an altitude-independent air pressure. The data is used during runtime and stored solely locally.
This app requires permission to access your precise location in the background.

Barometer
The app needs to access the barometric sensor of your device. This information is necessary to calculate an altitude-independent air pressure. This data is used during runtime and stored solely locally.
This app requires your permission to access the barometric sensor.

Alarm [on/off]
Here you can enable an alarm for sudden air pressure changes. These can indicate significant short-term weather changes like thunderstorms. Additionally you should always pay attention to your surroundings especially for temperature, wind, and clouds.
These alarms are no guarantee for or against sudden weather changes, but just a tool to detect the ones associated with sudden air pressure changes.
